The first Legoland was built next to the Lego factory as an attraction to create awareness for the brand. Legoland opened in 1968 and the latest attraction to be added to Legoland Billund is the Polar X-Plorer. The newest parks in the Legoland family are Legoland Florida, built in 2011, and Legoland Malaysia, built in 2012. Every year, around 1.6 million people visit Legoland.

Tivoli is the second oldest amusement park in the world. The park is an open area of 15 acres of land next to Copenhagen station. It has 27 rides and attractions. Several restaurants are accessible from the park or outside it. Every year, around 4 million people visit the park.

Bakken is the oldest existing amusement park in the world and is situated in the middle of a forest. There’s no entrance fee to the grounds, just fees for the rides. The oldest ride is a wooden roller coaster that dates back to 1937. The park not only has rides and attractions, but also offers shows, cabarets, revues, and food, amongst others.

The Old Town in Aarhus is the first open-air museum. It’s a collection of old Danish houses and buildings gathered from several towns around Denmark. The employees dress up in traditional costumes and perform jobs and duties from the age they represent. The museum has 75 buildings so far.

The first part of Kronborg Castle was built in 1420 but has undergone several remodelings under different kings. In 1785, it became a garrison, but was decommissioned in 1923. Since then it has been open to the public. The castle is the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet.
