"Fætre" or "fætter" in singular means male cousin. So both the male "fætter" and female "kusine" are equivalent to the English "cousin".

What does fætre mean? It said fætre og kusiner and translated it as cousins.

Bedstemor was my favorite word because my grandmother Olga was a full blooded Dane. I loved her so much. These are great lessons. Thank you.
