Hej Erica

Tak for kommentaren herinde også!

Her er lidt rettelser:

"Min Morgen Rutine" --> "Min Morgenrutine"

"Jeg vågner op og straks tager et brusebad." --> "Jeg vågner op og tager straks et brusebad." (You want to keep both verbs close to the subject).

"Også, jeg børster mine tænder." --> "Jeg børster også mine tænder." ("Også" is only used at the beginning of a sentence when saying "Også mig" ("Me too"), for instance).

"Jeg sætter på tøj." --> "Jeg tager tøj på." (Different verb and "på" always comes after whatever you are putting on or wearing).

"Næste, jeg spiser morgenmad og læser min bog." --> "Så spiser jeg morgenmad og læser i min bog." (When "næste" is used at the beginning of a sentence, it must be followed by a noun. Danes often use "så" ("then") to continue a series of events, or actions and so on. I have added "i" because it sounds like you are reading a book you wrote).

"Derefter, det er tid til går til arbejde." --> "Derefter er det tid til at gå på arbejde." (Inversion because of the adverb "derefter." "Går" should be in infinitive form, and finally, the "to" in "go to work" is "på," in Danish).

Nu vil jeg besvare dine spørgsmål:

1. "Op" is actually optional in the sample sentence. It is okay to say "Drengen vågner op om morgenen." BUT you must include "op" when someone wakes up to [something].

2. Yes, "kl." is an abbreviation for “klokken.”

Sig til, hvis du har flere spørgsmål til lektionen.

Mange tak!

Min Morgen Rutine

Jeg vågner op og straks tager et brusebad. Også, jeg børster mine tænder. Jeg sætter på tøj. Næste, jeg spiser morgenmad og læser min bog. Derefter, det er tid til går til arbejde.

This is what I think I’m saying in Danish:

My Morning Routine

I wake up and immediately take a shower. Also, I brush my teeth. I put on clothes. Next, I eat breakfast and read my book. Then, it’s time to go to work.

A couple of questions about the lesson materials:

1.It gets introduced as vågne op, but then in the example sentences it’s “Drengen vågner om morgenmad.” Is “om” the same word as “op” in a different form?

2.The lesson notes give the example sentence: “Der er mørkt kl 9 om morgenen.” Is “kl” an abbreviation for "klokken"?

Mange tusind tak!

2. The 'Contactus' email address that is given for contact does not work.hence this communication throgh 'comment'

I would be grateful for a reply or to be contacted.

Hi Rachel,

Thank you for your comment.

Glad to hear that you like our Danish lessons. We are currently working a Danish Beginner series which will be out later this year. And then, I think we'll start planning the Danish Intermediate series, but at the moment there is no set time frame, unfortunately.

Hope you will continue to enjoy the Danish classes that are currently available, even though the level might be too low.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Mange tak!

Hi Danishclass101, I think your lessons are good. Thank you for making them available to the public. Keep it up! By the way, when do you think the Intermediate Danish classes will be available? Do you have a time frame in mind or you have no idea yet? I would be keen to subscribe if you had the Intermediate ones available.
