Michael: And this is Must-Know Danish Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 9. In this lesson, you'll learn Expressions to Use When Something Unfortunate Happens.
Michael: These expressions are useful for describing a bad experience or a rough day to your friends.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
Michael: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:

Michael: Anna, what's our first expression?
Anna: skod
Michael: literally meaning "cigarette butt." But, when it's used as a slang expression, it means "bad, poor."

Michael: Use this slang expression when talking about something that you think is bad or inferior. You can use it on its own or add it at the beginning of a noun.

Anna: sniksnak
Michael: literally meaning "chitchat." But, when it's used as a slang expression, it means "nonsense, rubbish."

Michael: Use this slang expression when talking about noncommittal and needless chatter. Be careful when using this to describe other people's conversations, some might find it derogatory.
