I love learning Danish with DanishClass101! My partner is Danish, and the lessons have really helped me expand my vocabulary and improve my sentence structuring quickly! I can now have basic conversations and am grasping how to talk in the past and future tenses. The lessons have been a lifesaver!

I am planning to go to college in Copenhagen. I have tried many sites and language-learning textbooks, but none make sense. I finally found DanishClass101, and it has helped me so much. I cannot wait to get 100% fluent, and I know that with the help of danishclass101.com, that day is not too far away!

I have had a lifelong interest in linguistics. I have a BA in psychology. I even took a course on first language acquisition which has stayed with me all these years. Since those days, I have been fascinated with how we learn languages. In my youth I studied French, Latin, German and Italian. I never learned to actually speak any of them.

What I like about DanishClass101 is that it doesn’t treat students like babies.

When we learn our mother tongue we also have to learn the meanings of the words at the same time. Second language learners don’t need to relearn the meanings, just the new words for those meanings. The more natural adult grammatical constructions which this course uses are easier for me to learn and I have learned far more in a few weeks than I ever did with the traditional type language courses I studied before. Why I chose Danish is due to my roots and genealogy hobby. My patrilineal line is Danish. I decided while doing my research that I wanted to learn more about Danish history and felt I needed to learn the language to do that.

Also as I am older, I wanted a way to exercise my brain and learning languages is a great way to do that!

Danishclass101 is an excellent site especially for those who are interested in learning how to read and write Danish. I am mostly interested in translating documents in Danish. The spoken part is also great. But, the attention to detail in the written part of Danishclass101 is fabulous!

I started learning Danish as eventually I will be moving there.

DanishClass101 helped me to understand how grammar works better than any other site did. The detailed explanations of why and all the exceptions in every lesson is great for me. All the lessons are broken down and fairly simple to follow.

I am loving DanishClass101! I lived for a year in Denmark as a teenager. However, my Danish skills are not good from that experience because everyone just wanted to practice their English with me. As well back then, there weren’t many tools available to learn the language, the Internet wasn’t even in existence at that point.

There are many ways to approach your learning with the program. There are both verbal and written transcripts for the lesson, vocabulary, example sentences, flashcards, audio playback, and a really nice feature of being able to record your own voice and compare it to a native speaker.

I even discovered that DanishClass101 has a YouTube channel, which allows me to watch more content, such as being able to see someone recite numbers for me. This was very helpful.

I hope other people try out this program because it has been so useful for me.
